Gazdar was the official evaluator and advisor to the Nizam of Hyderabad’s fabulous collection of jewellery. Brothers Rusi J. Gazdar and Dinshah J. Gazdar launch Gazdar, making it the first commercial retailer of the finest gems and jewels to be established at the landmark Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai.

Gazdar displays its remarkable array of jewellery as a part of an elite fashion show held in honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. The collection boasts some of India’s finest and most opulent jewels.


Gazdar is graced by the patronage of the princely states of Jaipur, Gwalior, Baroda, Bikaner, Patiala and Hyderabad.


Recognizing Mr. Dharmendra Gandhi’s expertise and vision, Mr. Dinshah Gazdar begins a joint venture with him.


Gazdar acquires exclusive jewellery from the Nizam of Hyderabad, and earns the accreditation of Evaluator for royalty and society’s most elite.


Mr. Dharmendra Gandhi, along with his son Mr. Ravin Gandhi, takes over the reins of the company and continues the legacy of creating timeless pieces of art.


The legacy of Gazdar continues to be applauded by visits by celebrities and global political dignitaries such as Oprah Winfrey, Joe Walsh.

Under the leadership of the next generation Mr. Shreyans Gandhi, Gazdar celebrates a historic milestone of completing 85 years by presenting their new collection at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.


Gazdar participates in Times of India’s first ever virtual event for the jewellery industry attracting thousands of visitors from across the world.
